As a Lakers fan, is it wrong to enjoy the downfall of the Suns? I'm enjoying this, Suns sucks..

Im enjoying it too, but d feel better if the spurs had a downfall too. Im a big laker fan too. It is the Lakers. The Lakers have just beaten Heat and they have won 10 in a row and also they were 11-1 scince the Gasol Trade(should've been 12- 0 if it wasn;t for that 3 point loss in ATlanta). Imagine how good the Lakers are going to be when Bynum and Trevor Ariza come back. They have been just straight out blowing out teams in the past 10 or 12 games. Theyre versing the blazers 2morrow and they just blew them out a couple of days ago.

Imagine the Lakers lineup when Ariza and Bynum come back

Gasol 7 footer Great all around player

Bynum 7 footer Big Body Great defender could score

Lamar Odom 6 10 Great all around player

Kobe Bryant best player in the League

Derick Fisher Veteran point gaurd that proved himself in past years in the playoffs. (remember when he mad the shot Vs. San Antonio in the playoffs with 0.4 seconds left to go).

Then you also have Ariza, Walton, Farmar, Radmanovich, Sasha, Chris Mihm, Turiaf coming off the bench.

The Rockets are hot right now but they lost Yoa and they got no chance and Kobe already led his team to 4 Final apearences winnning 3 of the 4.

The Spurs are the only team that you could mix with the Lakers playoff experience. And The spurs and the suns are the only teams that could match the Lakers size. So at the end I think it comes down to San Antonio Lakers and maybe the Suns. I wouldn't oick Dallas because they dont have the same size as the Lakers, spurs, or suns.

The Lakers are the team to beat in the West and their Top Record of 41- 17 proves it.

The Suns haven't had a downfall. They're not playing as well as the Lakers, but that's to be expected. Shaq's a harder piece to work in than Pau Gasol. Remember, everyone was talking about how great the Mavs were last year and they lost to the Warriors. As impressive as that ten game win streak is for the Lakers, it'd be a lot more impressive (and helpful) if it was in the playoffs.

Remember, the Suns eliminated the Lakers from the playoffs a few years running now. Enjoy it after the Lakers have knocked 'em out of contention.

it is natural for a fan like you to enjoy once downfall of your counterpart, but i just would like to say that the suns never reli had its downfall for this season, theyv got shaq. theyr tough at defense, so as a laker fan, don't be too mean, its still in the mid of the season, things change unexpectedly.( by this, i know u won't give me that 10 pts. but its allright, atleas i speak up..)

Well, I think it probably feels good for those Laker fans, but I would worry about the playoffs first. If the Lakers face the Suns in the playoffs again, I think the only time you could enjoy the downfall of the Suns is if you were to win the series. You could be totally happy right now, but what if you lose to them in the playoffs? So, save it for then. I think LA will beat Phoenix in the playoffs this year, but then again I thought the Mavs would beat the Warriors last year. Playoffs are always a different thing...
No way. You should be enjoying this as much as you want! You, as a Lakers fan should be celebrating because that puts your team on top of the West and the Pacific division. The Suns aren't getting any better and I think Shaq is slowing them down. Enjoy the downfall of the Suns!
lol I'm a suns fan... and i realllly dont mind the trade..marion did nothing for us in the playoffs EVER...think about it..i mean yes he did good in the regular season..but pull up his numbers in the playoffs...he did ****...so i mean if we can get conference finals virtually with out marion... i guarntee shaq has a bigger impact...you guys will b suprised.

i'm a lakers fan too. have been since the beginning of shaq and kobe. i dunno.. its good for the lakers.. (who btw look like the best team in the nba .. and are still gonna get better) but i'd like to see shaq make a difference for them. the west is too good to care about any one individual team
There is no mercy and no sympathy in professional sports. Thats the way it is and that's the way it should be. Having said that, the Suns had there 3 year window of opportunity and failed each time so too bad for them. They blew their chance and now they face the consequences of being too old and having to contend with some really good, young teams (Lakers, Jazz, Warriors, Hornets). The days of running and gunning are over naive Suns fans. Defense wins championships not offense. The offense feeds off the defense. As a Lakers fan of course that I'm satisfied with this. I think they are no longer that big force with this declining roster. Right now the Lakers are the best team in the NBA and that is all that matters.
Kerr panicked because he had no answer for a front line of Odom, Bynum and Gasol. with Kobe in the back court. (no one else does either) Its been fun watching the Suns self destruct. I think the Mavs move wasn't that great either. The Spurs were the only one that didn't panic . Although their move was not that significant. The Lakers are going to good for a long time.
